Pepe, 41, retires from professional football 

Portuguese defender Pepe, 41, has retired from professional football. He informed about it on Instagram.

His last club was Porto. During his club career, Pepe played also for Maritimo, Real Madrid, and Besiktas.

With Porto, Pepe became a four-time champion of Portugal, a five-time cup winner, and a three-time Super Cup winner.

And with Real, he became a three-time champion of Spain, a three-time winner of the Champions League, a two-time winner of the Spanish Cup and a two-time Super Cup winner, a two-time European Super Cup winner, and a two-time club champion of the world.

Pepe played 141 matches in the Portuguese national team, with which he became the 2016 European champion and the 2019 Nations League cup winner.
